Assam Flood

Assam’s floods have affected almost 7.20 lakh people in 22 districts. According to the most recent figures, about 25 people have died as a result of the downpour and landslides. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority’s (ASDMA) daily flood bulletin, 68,590 persons remain stranded.

Barpeta, Biswanath, Cachar, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup (M), Karbi Anglong West, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sonitpur, and Udalguri were among the districts still devastated by the floods.
The floods affected 69,610 individuals in five districts till Friday.
In the flood-affected districts, 705 individuals were housed in four relief camps, with three relief distribution centres operating.
